Orchids at DDW15

Colour meets biobased inspiration

During Dutch Design Week 2015, Willemijn de Wit en Ulrike Jurklies (mo man tai) created an opulent visual experience with their ‘ Orchids” installation, which was realised in collaboration with VG Colours and Big Impact.

The stunning exhibition is influenced by an innovative way of treating orchids with color.

This technique was introduced to the market by VG Colours in 2009 which they have further developed for use in the design field.

Ulrike Jurklies designed the vibrant orchid pattern for use on wallcovering and curtain textiles. Big Impact printed these designs on our curtains and on our new Gluetex Biobased wallcovering.

A self -adhesive textile wallcovering, which consists of 60% biobased (modified starch) and 40% polyester.
